2 Samuel 22:17-20
But me he caught—reached all the way from sky to sea; he pulled me out Of that ocean of hate, that enemy chaos, the void in which I was drowning. They hit me when I was down, but God stuck by me. He stood me up on a wide-open field; I stood there saved—surprised to be loved! (MSG)
I read this passage this morning and the phrase that really stood out was the last four words "surprised to be loved". I think that would be the battle cry of our generation if we genuinely understood how much God really does love us.
It doesn't matter what you've done.
You'd be surprised by His love for you.
It doesn't matter how many times you've failed or doubted Him.
You'd be surprised by His love for you.
It doesn't matter how you feel.
You'd be surprised by His love for you.
Your past doesn't matter.
You'd be surprised by His love for you.
His love is so overwhelming and surprising...so now the question is what is our response to that love?
peace.
